PHASITRON® DUO™ - A50007-10
The Phasitron® Duo™ was designed with the home patient in mind, where ease of cleaning and a reduced number of parts are important issues. Some institutions may also choose to use this device but will need to bear in mind that it is made from a plastic that will not allow autoclave sterilization and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD IT BE USED FOR A PATIENT WITH AN ARTIFICIAL AIRWAY.
For home use, the Phasitron® Duo™ can be used with either the Percussionaire® IPV® Impulsator® or the HT- Impulsator®. It’s use is directed toward the chronic COPD type patient or any patient who has chronic pulmonary concerns which may lead to infections and hospitalizations (such as Bronchiectasis, neuromuscular conditions such as Muscular Dystrophy, Muscular Atrophy, ALS, Cystic Fibrosis, quadriplegia or other similar conditions where secretion management or atelectasis are repeating issues). The Phasitron® Duo™ has a built in mouthpiece and is ONLY intended for those patients who are using a mouthpiece for their treatments; UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD IT BE USED FOR A PATIENT WITH AN ARTIFICIAL AIRWAY.
Within the Institution, the Phasitron® Duo™ can be used with any Percussionaire® IPV® Percussionator®. Its use is directed toward the chronic COPD type patient undergoing hospitalization secondary to an acute infection. The Phasitron® Duo™ has a built in mouthpiece and is ONLY intended for those patients who are using a mouthpiece for their treatments; UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD IT BE USED FOR A PATIENT WITH AN ARTIFICIAL AIRWAY.
The DUO™ is compact with only the Nebulizer Bowl removable for ease of assembly and disassembly. The Phasitron® DUO™ is molded from high Impact Medical Grade plastics.
Cleansing ease is enhanced by design for after treatment mechanical washing, rinsing, and air-drying, but the DUO™ cannot be autoclaved.
In the home environment, routine, periodic, thorough cleansing can be effected by the use of the dishwasher and/or other cold sterilization techniques.
